Khalid Al Omran
Khalid Al Omran is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Daily Food Company... and the driving force behind Maestro Pizza, a brand that has disrupted the Saudi QSR market. Since founding Maestro Pizza in 2013, Khalid has driven its growth to X stores across Y cities, leading the brand to a market leadership position in the pizza segment with over USD XYZ million in revenue. As CEO, he manages a state-of-the-art industrial factory, an integrated in-house supply chain, and a diverse team of XX associates. His responsibilities include steering the company’s commercial interests, providing investment leadership, and continually enhancing operations.
Before founding Maestro Pizza, Khalid held roles such as Executive Project Manager at Banque Saudi Fransi and Business Development Manager at Almarai, where he initiated strategic investments and training programs. He began his career at McKinsey & Company, where he gained extensive experience in operations, strategy, and market development.
Khalid holds an MBA from IESE Business School in Barcelona and a Bachelor's degree in Finance from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.
Vice President of Shared Services
Hashem Al-Alawi
Hashem Al-Alawi is the Vice President of Shared Services at Maestro Pizza by Daily Food Co...., where he has been instrumental in optimizing and managing multiple departments across KSA and UAE. Starting in 2019, he led the Shared Services Division, driving key initiatives in IT, HR, Finance, Procurement, Real Estate, Site Management, and the Customer Care Center. His efforts included launching a new online ordering platform, enhancing digital marketing, streamlining HR processes, optimizing the real estate portfolio, and securing significant savings through procurement negotiations.
Before his current role, Hashem held various senior leadership positions, including Chief Sales Officer at Paramount Computer Systems and Chief Business Officer at Foodics. At Paramount, he led cybersecurity and GRC initiatives across the region. In his role as Chief Business Officer, he established the Business Enablement Division, overseeing digital transformation, IT infrastructure, and legal and compliance functions globally.
Hashem’s career began at Banque Saudi Fransi, where he spent nearly 19 years in various roles, including leading the Virtual Banking Division and heading IT Production & Systems. He holds an MBA with distinction from Hult International Business School and a BS in Computer Engineering with high honors from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals.
Chief Commercial Officer
Ayush
Ayush is the Chief Commercial Officer and has been associated with the Daily Food Company since... nascent months. He has been part of various roles in executive team responsible for building the firm across various initiatives.
He began his career in DFC as Head of Strategy where he was instrumental in various engagements like fast-tracking KSA wide store opening growth, in-store promise time guarantee, 30-minutes delivery promise, margin enhancement, advanced analytics, CX improvement etc. Later, he was promoted to the role of Chief Financial officer and implemented ERP, financial and budgetary controls across functional units; as well as created strategic cases and analysed key business drivers. In his next role as Chief Growth officer and later on as Chief Commercial Officer he has answerability on bottom-line performance by constructing and executing business plans which integrate strategy, marketing, finance and operations.
Before Daily Food Company, Ayush has held roles in strategic consulting and research in McKinsey and i3 consulting (now Acuvon). During these stints he partenered CXOs in profit improvement and growth initiatives across Middle East, South East Asia and European region. Ayush holds Post Graduate in Management from SPJIMR Mumbai and Bachelors in Financial & Investment Analysis.
Vice President of Operations
David Balcells
David Balcells is the Vice President of Operations at Daily Food Co. In this role, he oversees the company's... integrated operations, encompassing stores, factory, and warehouse & logistics. Joining Daily Food Co. in 2015, David has been instrumental in the company's growth and development, holding various leadership positions within the supply chain operations departments.
Prior to his tenure at Daily Food Co., David gained experience in the automotive sector, serving in the Finance Department at Maxionwheels in Barcelona, Spain.
David holds an Executive MBA from London Business School (LBS) in the UK and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), Spain both with honors.
